Behind the Design: Anemones

Today's Behind the Design comes from Lisa--another of our fabulously talented graphic designers. Telling us about one of her recent designs Anemones--which by the way, is a beautiful and popular wedding flower. And, {according to Oxford Dictionary} means "daughter of the wind." Dramatic, modestly priced and available from September to May ... it's easy to see why anemones are a favorite among so many brides.

Behind the Design 

We do a lot of trend watching here at MagnetStreet, and one that I have loved seeing is Anemones! The petals might be delicate, but their high contrast centers provide a lot of punch. When gathered into a bouquet, they give a polka dot effect.

One of my favorite varieties combines a white petal with a deep purple - almost black - center. Expand on this classic color palette with classic design elements like stripes and dots (playing off that bouquet effect!) and your wedding is sure to have a sophisticated atmosphere.
