Ambience! Create it with soft lighting for that oh-so- romantic atmosphere at your venues. Manufacture the mood with low-key lighting that is easily accomplished by stringing white lights, placing luminaries in strategic areas, using rope lighting, torches, uplights, lanterns, tea lights in hurricane lamps, etc.
Take a look around your ceremony and reception venues to see how and where you could add lighting to create the drama (and safety) you desire. If your reception is held during the evening and outdoors, illuminate walkways and paths by stringing lights. Place luminaries on tables or hang them from surrounding trees for that soft look. The more interesting the pattern holes in the luminary, the more interesting the light they'll toss out.
