Happy Friday! Have we got a wedding for you today! Florida couple, Danielle and Travis, ordered their stunning Forever Love pocket wedding invites from MagnetStreet. They personalized their invites in a super-chic pink, then shared their elegant backyard wedding day photos and deets with us. And my favorite part of it all? They revamped their own yard in order to host an elegant backyard wedding of their dreams. It's not the typical rustic backyard scene. The glamorous results of their Florida fall wedding day, captured by Sierra Ford Photography, will have you oohing and awwing! 
The dress
I was looking for something revealing in the back but conservative in the front. The dress has what the store called a 'butt veil,' which was a great reason to buy the dress! It was unique and eye catching for sure! 
So, the proposal is all an inside joke...there was no real proposal!
All of our friends find it hilarious because he never actually proposed. He made several attempts, but everything fell through. The ring had traveled with us to Savannah, GA. & Helen, GA. (Two different attempts in Helen). He was going to do it Christmas day when all of my family was at our house ... and chickened out. Then I pretty much told him that I needed a year to plan the wedding. I gave him the option to come up with a wedding date and so he choose 11/19/16 which gave me less than a year. I started planning the wedding without proposal. We're untraditional when it comes to certain old traditions. So I told him he had up until our photo engagement session ... the weekend before our shoot we were suppose to go on a hot air balloon and he would propose then. Well the weather was awful and we didn't get to go. So we did our engagement session and I never gave him the ring back. 
Highlight of the day
Oh there were so many! The one I loved for sure was our first look. It was so intimate and I'm not sure that Travis would have not shown the same emotional in front of everyone, like he did then. 
Feathers & vows
We used vows from the church. We did add some flare to the vows by adding in our unity cross, having Bible verses line the aisle, and using feathers throughout the wedding. The feathers went with the Bible verse from Psalms 91:4 that was read before we were announced husband and wife. 
My favorite photo is of Travis and I walking down the aisle and seeing our feathers being thrown at us. We weren't sure that the feathers would actually go anywhere since they are so light. But this picture captured the moment.
They were flying!
Their "delicate lamb" theme
I've been known to call it a "delicate lamb". But that is that what it was about. We wanted to stay away from the rustic normal backyard weddings. I made sure that it was elegant and chic. We incorporated a lot of our religious beliefs. 
I love being able to walk outside and be reminded of our wedding day.
Originally I started researching for venues and kept falling in love with outdoor venues. I feel in love with a chapel in Gainesville, but Travis was not on board with a destination wedding. Even if it was 2 hours away. So Travis got the brilliant idea that we would use the money we would spend on a venue to restore our backyard. The project turned into way larger than we expected, but I wouldn't have it any other way. 
We have a family friend that owns his own restaurant called Francesco's. His father is a pasty chef from Italy, so we had him bake us a limoncello tiramisu wedding cake. Travis and I made limoncello liquor to go with the cake. It was so delicious! 
I'm really looking forward to making a lot of great memories with my husband and family. Getting to travel often with him is always so much fun ... and a blessing!
