Keep your Status Fabulous

Congrats are in order, you’re tying the knot,
But posting all to your wall, might not be so hot.

Your getting married is probably the most important event in your life right now, and containing yourself from talking about it all the time & shouting it from the rooftops can be a challenge. Am I right?

I wonder if the Facebook gurus had this Offbeat Bride post in mind when they created their new "Send" button ... let's just say that sharing too many wedding details on Facebook isn’t always pretty.

New School: The Send button!

Have you heard of it?
Pretty new- the Send button is a social plugin that we're seeing on many websites now. Through Facebook messages, the Send button lets you send a link and a private note to your friends by email or to a group that you’ve created {on Facebook}. With the Send button, there's now no longer a need to publicly post, keep mum about your wedding excitement or edit your friends into lists anymore! YAY!

Why I think the Send button is cool It's better and easier than regular email!
And it's practical. The beauty of this little button lies in the ability to send a fast, personalized message attached to any content you see on the web—great for wedding planning, organizing and getting any word, picture, or idea out to those who need to receive it!

Click Send = help with wedding planning
Let’s say you’re browsing online for bridesmaid dresses. You’ve found THE perfect dress {a gorgeous one-shoulder silhouette, available in different colors- super cute}.

You only want your bridesmaids to see the dress.

If you hit Like in this online store, it goes to your wall. Everyone sees it ... nah. We just went over that. You only want your bridesmaids to see the dress!

When you click Send ... Out pops a little email box in which you simply type in {a friend's name, an email address or your group name}, a short message and the Send button does the rest- including sending a link with the image!  Genius! Create as many groups as you need to- bridesmaids, whole wedding party, vendors, parents, etc.

Old School- No More: posting all to your wall, not posting at all for fear of offending "friends", containing your excitement, editing your friends into lists or sharing only from inside facebook!

We've added the plug in at MagnetStreet Weddings and it's now being used more than the Like button! Here it is sitting pretty next to the Like button on every Save the Date, Wedding Invitation, Thank You Card … and every other stationery item in our store! Have a minute ... try it out.

Have you used the Send button yet?
