Traveling to find the perfect dress"I live in Florida, and the wedding and my family are in Pittsburgh. To make life easy to not have to travel with a wedding dress, I wanted to buy my dress in Pittsburgh. I flew into town for a weekend with my heart and mind set on saying 'Yes to the dress.' I went shopping with my mom, grandma, sister-in-law, and matron of honor. Dress shopping was fun because everyone makes you feel like a princess, but it was also hard because I put a lot of pressure on myself to find the perfect dress in one weekend . And all of the options quickly became overwhelming. I knew my dress was THE ONE almost immediately when I put it on. Not only did I feel beautiful from every angle in it, but it was the only dress I tried on that made my mom cry when I tried it on. I knew by her and the other girls' reactions that it was 'my dress' and I said 'Yes!'”

"I am so happy I found Magnet Street! I was so pleased with everything from start to finish. I had originally been referred to a different vendor, but found myself not liking designs or colors they offered. I took to the web and did a Google search and MagnetStreet came up in an ad. I really loved the existing template on the invitation I chose, but I also liked how I could easily customize everything, and without any extra fee I could change color schemes any way I wanted. I was able to perfectly match the invitations to my wedding colors! The design process was very user friendly. When I got the invitations in the mail I was so impressed with them! I especially loved the cute box everything came in, presentation was so elegant. We got so many compliments on our invitations, consensus was everyone loved them as much as I did. With all the good feedback we got from the invitations I decided to order ceremony programs as well. When they met"We are an online success story. We talked on match.com for a few weeks before we finally decided to go out on our first date. Even though I never met Ryan, I let him pick me up at my apartment to take me out to dinner. (guess you could say I could tell he was a trustworthy person). The date went really well. We probably could have stayed out for hours enjoying each others company, but with Thanksgiving being the next day, we managed not to stay out too late. But after the first date you could say I had him hooked, and the week after Thanksgiving he wanted to hang out with me almost every single day and quickly we fell in love!"
To being engaged ..."We dated for 2 years before we got engaged. The special proposal happened on our 2nd year anniversary on 11/25/17. Ryan planned an entire day of surprises for me that day which ended with a proposal on Siesta Key Beach. Right before the sun was about to go down, he presented me a gift ... and inside was a Beauty and the Beast jewelry box (my favorite Disney princess). The jewelry box started playing music, and he got down on one knee and proposed to a beautiful sunset and recorded the whole thing on video. It was absolutely perfect."
Grand Soiree Tea-length Ceremony Programs by MagnetStreet
Their "first look""It was important for us and our families that we were traditional, and Ryan didn't’t see me on the wedding day until my dad walked me down the aisle. (We did opt to do a first touch however. We did not see each other, but we held hands while behind a curtain at the Church prior to the ceremony to calm our nerves before we said “I do” ... and it was a very special moment)."
Borrowed, blue, old, & new"I wanted to do something different with this and decided to incorporate these items into my bridal bouquet. I borrowed a gold cross from my mom’s necklace, a blue ribbon tied to a new photo frame on my brother who passed so he could be with me for the day, and my mom’s old wedding band which she passed down to me. I also had a lucky sixpence for my shoe."
Cake & cookies"Our wedding cake was made by the Priory fine pastries. So delicious! We had a personalized cake topper made from Etsy that had penguins and Mr. & Mrs Holbrook on. (Penguins are my favorite animal!). It turned out beautiful. We also had a traditional 'Pittsburgh cookie table' which included about 1,500 cookies made by family and friends for everyone to enjoy and to take some treats home."
Stand-out moment of the day"One moment that stands out is when we finally sat down at our sweetheart table for dinner. We had just gotten introduced at the reception and finished our first dance (that we choreographed and nailed it!). Our table was on a stage and it was just the two of us ... we looked out at the room of people and took it all in. It was the realization that all the people in the room were there to celebrate us, the day I always dreamed about was now ... and that we were officially married!
Advice to other couples"No matter what it will be the best day of your lives, so don’t stress. Expect that something will go wrong. If you worry about all the details being perfect, you won’t enjoy every moment of the day. It goes by so fast! Don’t waste a minute worrying if you forgot something, nobody will ever know."
