Making a grand entrance and a bunch of noise were the 20 some odd thunderous pipes that rode up as a surprise to greet newlyweds~ Alexandra and Anthony at their wedding reception.
You see, Alexandra and Anthony are lance corporals in the Marines and the loud, rumbling pipes belong to the volunteers of the Warriors' Watch, a motorcycle-mounted Troop Support group. Unbeknownst to the bride and groom, the riders were invited to come out and show their support to this military couple who btw, put their wedding reception together in three weeks due to their recent and pending deployments. Finish reading this heart-warming story in its entirety.
Why do these volunteers do what they do? Here is an excerpt from the Warriors' Watch About Us page:
"We exist for the purpose of supporting our troops, past and present, and their families. We wear many different “colors,” or none at all. We are bikers, or we are not. We are veterans, or we are not. We are men, women, children. What we all have in common is an unwavering dedication to the support of our troops and their families.
Warriors' Watch will provide motorcycle escorts for military units returning from war, for units deploying and for individual warriors coming home or going off. Warrior’s Watch works very closely with “A Hero’s Welcome,” and provides a motorcycle escort component to their good work when they require it."
What's really cool is that Warriors' Watch does not charge for their services, and they don't even accept donations. They pay their own way! How cool is that? No matter your stance on the war, the troops need our support. When they're there! When they're here! I'm inspired. How about you?
Happy Halloween everybody!
