On this chilly winter day, let's warm up with a chic late summer wedding with a bride donning her mother's wedding dress! High school sweethearts Chiara and Jack ordered both their save the dates and wedding invites from MagnetStreet, and we soon fell in love with the fabulous gold and sangria hues and details of their big day in the Manchester, New Hampshire area. They were married in front of friends and family at a beautiful church with stunning stained glass windows! They didn't have a "first look" prior to the ceremony, so the emotion their photographer Ashleigh captured when Chiara walked up the aisle will definitely have you feeling goosebumps. {Plus, with Chiara in her mother's wedding dress? It certainly gives us the feels!} We'll just let the gorgeous photos tell the story of their ultra-chic wedding day! High School Sweethearts "Jack and I were set up as a prom date for my senior prom by my best friends. I had no date a couple weeks until prom so, naturally, I went crying to my best friends and they told me about this guy named Jack that they ran track with. Long story short, our first date was prom night and we have been together ever since!" Her Mother's Wedding Dress "I actually wore my mother's dress on my wedding day! I did not try a single wedding dress on. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to use her dress, and I knew that what I've always dreamed of in a wedding dress I would not be able to find in any bridal salon. My mother and I brought her dress to our local seamstress and the second the seamstress cut off those 80s sleeves ... I knew it was the one. The high neck with the delicate beading and long ruffly train was everything I had always imagined. I felt beautiful. But what made me feel even more beautiful was knowing I would be walking down the aisle in the same dress my mother walked down the aisle in 29 years before." The Time-Honored Tradition Something Borrowed: "My mother's dress!" Something Blue: "My garter had a little blue ribbon tied in a bow on it." Something Old: "My grandmother's rosary that I wrapped around my bouquet." Something New: "A couple weeks before the wedding (in true last minute fashion) I custom ordered a beautiful diamond and pearl earring piece for my ear piercing. There were a lot of 'new' things but that was definitely the most new." Minor Day-Of Problem = Blessing "One minor issue was forgetting to give the florist my grandmother's rosary so that they could wrap it around my bouquet. After we realized that we decided that the morning of, once the flowers were delivered, my mother would wrap it around the bouquet herself instead. Which, thinking back I'm glad my mother ended up being able to do that." Highlight of the Day "The best part of the day was definitely the ceremony. Jack and I loved being able to pick all of our readings and music for the Mass, and it all came together even more beautifully than we ever could have imagined!" Favorite Wedding Day Photo "My favorite photo from our day is a rather candid photo that one of the photographers caught of Jack kissing the top of my hands. That is something so sweet that I adore that Jack does ... and I love that it was caught on camera." MagnetStreet Wedding Invitations: Antique Filigree "My sister actually used MagnetStreet for her wedding invitations so she recommended MagnetStreet for me as well!" Deliciously Dreamy Wedding Cake "We had a three-tier wedding cake from Jacques Pastries in New Hampshire. The largest tier was white cake with strawberry and chocolate ganache filling, the middle tier was lemon cake with lemon buttercream; and the top tear is espresso cake with chocolate ganache and Bailey's buttercream. We cannot wait to try the top tier in a year! Crossing our fingers it stays well in the freezer!" Advice to Engaged Couples "Don't let the troubles and stress of planning shroud the beauty and excitement of what you are truly planning for. Planning can be overwhelming, but reminding yourself that either way you two will be married at the end. If anything doesn't go 'as planned,' chances are the guests will be none the wiser. ;)" These fabulous vendors made their gorgeous wedding day come to life!
