Can you imagine being in a "flash flood" ... on your wedding day? Deborah and Youssef can. Their beautiful outdoor wedding in Lawrenceville, GA is actually their second wedding, sort of. They had originally planned a lovely destination wedding in Morocco--where Youssef is from. It is said that rain on your wedding day is good luck--but a flash flood? Not so much. Last November, their Moroccan wedding had to be cancelled because they were literally trapped in the guest house by a flash flood for almost 24 hours. During this entire terrifying ordeal, they had no food or running water and the Moroccan equivalent of the national guard fought all day to build up enough road to rescue them from the guest house.
Talk about fortitude. Deborah finally got the chance to put on her beautiful wedding gown and have her father walk her down the aisle! They re-used what they could from their Moroccan wedding and put together a simple, beautiful, and elegant wedding at Little Gardens in Lawrenceville, GA.
