by: Some engagement photo sessions are oh-so-breezy and candid, and you can definitely tell right away when it's all so genuine. Kelsey and Dennie's outdoor park engagement session is just that! Hailing from New Jersey, the couple opted to have their engagement shoot in a local park that's filled to the brim with trails, trees, and beautiful scenery.
This lovely couple is so full of laughter and love, and their pics by their photographer friend showcase it all so perfectly. As they pranced around the park, laughed, smiled, and embraced ... you can't help but smile at all the moments captured! From romantic to cheesy, their engagement shoot shows it all so absolutely perfectly. It definitely has us grinning here! Oooh, and we love what they did with their Save the Date, which was their own fab design that they uploaded.
Kelsey and Dennie legitimately met in a parking lot years ago! You have to read on to hear the whole adorable story. We wish them the best as they continue on their wedding planning journey!

Their photographer friend, who is also an old track and field pal, had this to say about their park engagement session,"These two have a lot of personality which made for a great mix of static, kinetic, and cheesy portraits just for the laughs!"
"We both grew up in the same area of NJ and we both competed in track & field. Although we were two years apart and went to different high schools, we competed together at a lot of the same track meets. But as fate would have it, we never ended up meeting in high school."
"We both continued to do track at rival colleges in NJ, again at a lot of the same meets with a ton of chances to bump into each other. But, fate is weird! We never ended up meeting in college, either."
"Since I’m two years younger, I was still competing in college after he graduated. I remember going to a track meet at his alma mater that hosted an alumni race, and he was there to run! Spoiler alert- we STILL didn't meet. But the universe did give me a sneak peak at my future husband... the super-fast dude in a super hero shirt who won the alumni race. I watched the entire thing. Goosebumps."
"After I graduated, I decided to keep doing track and joined a club team in NJ. The very first meet was in New York, and I was already driving a few of my friends who joined the team with me. A few days before the big day, the coach texted me."
“'Do you have any room in your car?' There’s another guy trying to find a ride and he lives really close to you. Can you drive him?" I agreed to drive this mystery man, and to make my life easier I had him meet me in my high school’s parking lot rather than picking him up. That morning, the universe finally allowed us to meet. In a parking lot."
The rest of the story pretty much took care of itself!
"Our engagement shoot was shot by a fellow track and field runner and friend, so we were never uncomfortable. It was basically just us hanging out and joking around, only with a camera. After the shoot we got dinner and drinks by the beach and the laughter continued."
"We chose one of our favorite local parks because it has different scenery and trails to explore. We were able to get a lot of different shots in various settings, which made it hard to pick just one for our save the dates! Some are romantic, some are adorable, and some are just ridiculous."
"My favorite part of the day was when, after being overcast for most of the shoot, the sun made an appearance as it was setting through the trees. We climbed to the top of the overlook hill and took some photos facing the view. It was magical!"
"All in all, Brandon nailed the photography and MagnetStreet allowed us to customize our very own save the date magnet that will never be taken off our fridge. Next step- wedding invites!"
