This week's Behind the Design feature celebrates a non-traditional wedding style and the trendy look of Kraft paper. Here's Jen to tell us about the inspiration behind her new design suite: Sweet as Pie.
"Kraft paper is huge right now! It replaces a formal elegance with something more playful, fun and fitting for a non-traditional wedding. While dreaming up this design, I was inspired by the charm of a vintage apron--multiple patterns and colors pieced together, lined with eyelet lace. I imagine the woman wearing such an apron would pull a delicious pie out of the oven. I love the idea of having pie at a wedding reception instead of cake—something unexpected that shows personality. Sweet As Pie captures the playful bliss of a wedding day and the sweetness of beginning a life together as husband and wife."
