We adore the sweet simplicity of Sarah and Nathan's country wedding. The easy-going, pastoral feeling of this Iowa setting is perfectly balanced by their vibrant color scheme of royal blue and silver. The blue is simply electric! Sarah looks enchanting and her beautiful smile tells us that their day was one filled with love and happiness! Enjoy. Wedding Style: Classy, yet simple Wedding Colors: Royal blue & Silver Ceremony: Middle River Friends Church in Carlisle, IA; Reception: Indianola Community Church in Indianola, IA Photography: Freebird Photography Save the Date, Program, Invitation Suite: MagnetStreet Weddings Highlights of the day Seeing friends and family that I hadn't seen for awhile! People traveled in from across the country, so we felt very blessed to have our loved ones celebrate with us. Also, coming down the aisle and seeing my groom. The food was also fantastic! I'm so glad we had a chocolate fondue fountain. My brother also put together a fantastic slideshow. After all of the hard work and planning, it was wonderful to see how everything came together. Sarah and Nathan customized their own Save the Date Postcard using two fun shots from their engagement photos. Advice you’re glad you took We were advised to go with gray suits rather than tuxes so that the guys could keep them. We are so glad we did! They looked great, and each guy loved them! Also, everyone I talked to stressed the importance of delegating tasks and responsibilities so that you can just enjoy your day. That is so important! We got a lot of friends and family involved, which helped a lot. I'm also glad we dismissed guests by row so that we got to greet everyone at least once. Advice you wished you took We DIY'd a lot of items. We rolled the silverware, made cake pops for our guests as favors, our guestbook, decor. While that was fun, some of it was stressful at the end. I probably would have bought some of these items instead--just to save time and energy. I would have allowed more time for my nail and hair appointment as well! Advice you’d like to give It's your wedding day, enjoy it! It's the day you've always dreamed of, so really make it uniquely yours. Plan early, give yourself plenty of time and details really do matter. It's easy to stress about the "big day" but try to enjoy the process and the loved ones that help you along the way. Have fun! Best part of the whole wedding day Getting married! Seriously, people say if you are married at the end of the day, it was a successful wedding! For me, we had worked so hard planning everything for eight months, it was wonderful to see how it all came together. I loved just enjoying the ceremony and reception with those I love. Sarah and Nathan chose the fun and Flirty Flourish Tea-length Wedding Program and Rectangle Wedding Invitation Suite to set the tone for their big day and match their wedding style. Bravo! Our graphic designer friend, Lisa helped design our Save the Dates, but I used the Flirty Flourish templates for both our invites & programs. I found the personalization tools very easy to use and there were a variety of styles/templates to choose from! Ordering and proofing was very simple and my order arrived within days. I definitely recommend using MagnetStreet for your wedding or event! Thank you Sarah and Nathan for sharing your day with all of us! We love how you involved so many of your family and friends and DIY'd so many elements to make your special day--that much more special. Blessings to you both! xo
