Brandie and Parker's lovely Louisiana wedding is a visual treat as well as being thoughtfully executed--from their gorgeous venues with unique lighting concepts, to their stately color scheme and sparkling accessories. Brandie looks stunning in her Vera Wang Silk Charmeuse Sheath style dress. Brandie and Parker had a vision for their wedding right from the beginning, and being the detailed person Brandie is, even designed their wedding cake with her dress in mind. The pleated detail on Brandie's dress was incorporated into each layer of their wedding cake. Beautiful! Yes to the dress
I absolutely loved my wedding dress! From the beginning I was a bride that knew what I wanted. It was going to be an elegant, fitted gown. Vera may not have known it when she designed this dress, but it was definitely the perfect dress for me! I could not have found a more fitting dress if I tried.
Highlight of Day
Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. We were blessed with beautiful weather, the presence of our dearest family and friends, and top notch vendors who made everything fall into place just as we had envisioned.
Both our ceremony and reception were truly amazing! Meeting Parker at the end of the aisle was just the best moment. We could not help but kiss and whisper sweet thoughts to each other throughout the ceremony. The ride over to our reception was the first private moment we had to enjoy each other as husband and wife which made that a particularly special ride. Then we arrive to our reception and danced the night away with our loved ones. That was truly a significant treat for me because Parker never dances--with the exception of a slow song or two at social events throughout the year!
Upon returning home that night, we sat for hours just sharing each of our experiences from the day, laughing at little quirks that occurred and reminiscing over the entire night’s events. This was a perfect end to what we considered to be the perfect day!
About the flowers
Our bouquets were made of white orchids, hydrangeas, and peonies. All of my favorites! My husband, his groomsmen, and our fathers wore boutonnieres made of orchids. The timeless beauty of using all white flowers is what appealed to me most.
And the accessories
All of my bridal accessories (earrings, bracelet, and birdcage veil) were custom pieces. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and after months of searching with no such luck of locating a ready to wear piece, I contacted the designers with Tigerlilly Jewelry. Within a period of a month and a half, the designer I worked with created exactly what I envisioned.
I’m glad that I ...
Being the compulsive planner I am, it was natural for me to develop a time line for to do’s as well as to keep our bridal party, immediate family, and vendors updated on changes and plans as they came about. Those monthly emails that turned into weekly emails as our wedding day approached truly made a difference. It allowed all my vendors to be up to date with the when’s and where’s of the day as well as my expectations. The bridal party, especially my bridesmaids, really appreciated having things planned out so that all they had to do--was show up and enjoy the fun ... knowing everything would be taken care of. Having a clear plan also helped to ease my nerves which in turn allowed me to enjoy all of the wedding festivities leading up to our wedding day.
Advice I’d like to give
Most of us (ladies that is) dream of our wedding day from an early age. My advice would simply be enjoy every moment of the wedding planning experience and especially the day itself. It goes by entirely too fast! This can be achieved by not fretting over pleasing every person who has input about how he or she believes things should be--unless it’s truly important to you and your future husband! And of course those details that don’t quite come out as you envisioned. Let it go, at the end of the day, not a single person besides you will even know the candles on the cake table were not aligned the way you requested them to be!
Parker and Brandie's 2012 Holiday Card
The Soft Photo Greeting Christmas Photo Card was such an elegant design--making it the perfect selection for our Christmas Card sent out to all of our wedding guests this year.
Parker and Brandie's Save the Date
We chose the Full Photo Mini Save the Date Magnet for its simplicity in keeping with our “simple elegance” theme which allowed us to showcase one of our favorite engagement photos.
Pro Shout Out
Angelle Missios Photography
Angelle Missios’ work was something I had admired for years, prior to even meeting my husband. There was no question as to who we would hire to document our wedding day. She was actually one of the two vendors that played a part in deciding what our wedding date would be, by their availability. Angelle certainly delivered…she was an absolute pleasure to work with for all our wedding sessions (Engagement, Bridal, and Wedding Day), she possessed the ability to calm nerves in some of the most unnatural settings, and she blessed us with the most amazing photos! My husband and I could not have asked for a better photographer to work with. Now we face the difficult task of selecting photos for our album out of the hundreds of fabulous shots she captured. However, this is certainly a problem we can live with!

Bridal Path
Luanne and the rest of her fabulous staff at the Bridal Path assisted me in choosing a dress that was truly designed for me. It was just perfect! Bridal Path offered an extensive selection of gowns and accessories and provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire process.
Especially For You Florist
Samantha Bates at Especially For You Florist, was such a pleasure to work with. We had a floral budget to stick to and as a bride I also had a vision of what I desired. Samantha was able to make the two work together beautifully. Needless to say my vision became a reality and our budget remained intact making us one happy couple!
MagnetStreet's Design
MagnetStreet offered an extensive array of designs which is one of the many reasons we chose to use them for our Save the Date Magnets and our Christmas Cards.
MagnetStreet’s Customer Care
MagnetStreet’s customer care was quite exceptional. Between the ease of maneuvering through the site, the live chat available for problems/questions, the personalization features offered, the best prices around, and the speedy production/delivery… MagnetStreet should be every Bride’s favorite place to go for their wedding stationery needs.
Magnet’sStreet Personalization Tool
MagnetStreet’s personalization tool is the number one reason we chose them as a vendor. After browsing through other sites that only allow you a select few color schemes and generally no other personalization features in regards to layout, MagnetStreet was definitely our top pick. We truly appreciated the option to change colors, fonts, and even layouts when necessary. As a bride, you usually have a very specific vision in mind and MagnetStreet unlike other sites allows you to make that vision come alive.
*Blushing* Thank you Brandie and Parker for your very kind and thoughtful comments. We all so appreciate it! Thank you also for sharing your gorgeous and joyful wedding with all of us too. What a romantic rendering of your day. Congratulations!
