What a treat we have for you today! We're featuring the fun & chic real wedding of one of our graphic designers--Robin, & her new husband Kevin. Married on the scenic grounds of Heritage Prairie Farm--40 miles west of Chicago--Robin & Kevin's wedding was an eco-friendly affair, full of farm-fresh charm! Guests were treated to scrumptious food, that was both local & organic, peacock & goat onlookers, and the lush farm setting.

Highlights of the day The ceremony was officiated by Kevin’s brother in law and he kept it fun, light and short. That was great to have the officiate be someone who has known us throughout our relationship. Our attendants gave great speeches--short and light-hearted. Then, all the games and events arrived after dinner and all the kids went wild and bouncing around. Of course, the adults followed soon after.
Advice you’re glad you took-To hire a local photographer--and get the same person you met with initially. And, to let the photographer know exactly what you want. Our photographer & his wife gave us very unique shots. Make sure all the parents feel honored during the ceremony and reception. We gave our fathers boutonnieres & recognized our mothers by giving them flowers as part of the ceremony. It was a nice touch to include the mothers in the ceremony.
Advice you’d like to give It is your wedding, your party--let it be an expression of your personalities! Kevin and I are two fun-loving people and we really wanted our casual, fun sides to show through in the wedding. So, don’t let anyone tell you “you can’t do that at a wedding” it should be one of the best days of your lives--so plan it exactly how you want and enjoy it.
Best part of the whole wedding day Many guests came up to Kevin & I and told us that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to! We were so glad to have pulled it off--exactly how we wanted it. People are still telling us how much fun they had, and that it could never be topped. It was such a great feeling to know that everyone else enjoyed the wedding as much as we did. I would say the best part of the day was when we realized that everyone was having a good time and we could just relax and enjoy ourselves.

The wish lanterns when the sun went down, were so fun & beautiful. So many people got involved in lighting them, wishing on them, and then sending them far up into the sky. They floated away slowly and were visible for a long time. It was a really neat event!
