Ivy, a classic beauty with a contagious smile, looked incredible in her Dolce Satin Essence of Australia wedding gown next to her handsome groom. Their citrus-y color scheme was a delicious treat that was beautifully rendered throughout their wedding--beginning with their wedding invitations. What were some highlights from your big day?
- Dancing with my dad during the father daughter dance--then, having my mom join us at the end brought tears to my eyes!
- Dancing with my oldest nephew and finding out that he can dance!! I was so happily surprised.
- Being held by my husband as we danced our first dance as husband and wife.
- The toasts ... all of them were very meaningful.
What was the best part of the whole wedding day? I think the best part was mine and Edwin's first dance. We danced to Greatest Love by Musiq Soulchild. It’s such a beautiful song. The love and passion we feel for one another was easily seen while we danced. 
DRESS and ACCESSORY SWOON Oh how I love my dress. It’s a Dolce Satin Essence of Australia gown. The style is Mermaid and it has pickups with small amount of beads across the chest, down to my mid-back and around my lower thigh area. The bottom was covered with pickups and oh, how I love the look of pickups! The color is called Pewter but it looked more like champagne. It was the perfect color! I didn't want traditional white or ivory and the style was perfect for my body type. My dress fit so perfectly. I didn't want to take the dress off at the end of the night. I accented my dress with a birdcage veil and handmade drop pearl earrings, bracelet, and hair pieces. I purchased and returned about six pairs of shoes before I found the perfect ones. My shoes were by Ivanka Trump and were the perfect shade of champagne for my dress. They were strappy open toe shoes with circles of rhinestones going down the top of my foot. I have a very narrow foot so I had to the have the straps shortened so that my feet wouldn't slide. 
What advice are you glad you took? I am so happy one of my Bridesmaids suggested we change into Chuck Taylors (All Stars) after the ceremony. Prior to the suggestion, I had thought of buying them ballet shoes to change into but I couldn't decide on a color and wasn't very fond of the look with the bridesmaid dresses. The Chucks were a great idea! The bridesmaid dresses were orange so I had them purchase lime green Chucks and I purchased orange Chucks. I’m so happy I took that suggestion. We were all so comfortable after the ceremony and everyone loved that we had color coordinated All Stars! 
What advice would you like to give? Pick a strong team of women for your bridal party. You want women that understand they have agreed to support you throughout the wedding planning process--not just on the wedding day. I had a great team supporting me!

Shannon is my sister, and an extremely talented hair stylist. She needed very little direction to give me the look I was going for. She did most of my girls and was able to take my idea for my BM's hair and add a little flare that really topped off their look. Although my hair was in a classic high bun, Shannon styled the bun at the perfect height and size that gave what can be a plain hair style, an elegance worthy of my wedding day. Bousie Make Up Make-up artist: Stacey Manual owner of Bousie Makeup. Stacey is a phenomenal makeup artist and a dear friend! She flew in from Detroit, MI to do my makeup and attend the wedding. She was on point all day and night making sure my makeup remained flawless. I don't normally wear makeup, and with very little direction, Stacey was able to create a flawless, natural, elegant and yet stylish look for myself and my bridesmaids--just what I wanted!! I love my wedding pictures, both professional and non-professional, and I know a large part of that is because of my hair stylist and makeup artists! Thanks ladies!! DJ: DJ Peazy, bookpeazybaby@gmail.com: DJ Peazy is one of Edwin's friends. She did an amazing job of keeping the party going. There were a few key songs for the ceremony and reception we let her select and we were pleased with her selections. We didn't give her a very detailed play list for the reception--just a few special requests and a general information about the type of music and atmosphere we would like. She delivered the perfect mix of songs that kept the dance floor packed! Door to Door Cleaners Dress Alternations: I had alterations done at Door to Door cleaners in Brentwood, CA. Dole did my alterations, she was amazing! Arturo’s Shoe Fix, Beverly Hills Shoe repair: Arturo is amazing!!
