For Japan with Love: A Day of Silence

Japan disaster relief

If I can stop one heart from breaking,

I shall not live in vain;

If I can ease one life the aching,

Or cool one pain,

Or help one fainting robin

Up to his nest again,

I shall not live in vain.

- Emily Dickinson

You see the pictures. You watch the video clips. You read the stories. And yet, it's hard to fully comprehend the magnitude of tragedy, loss and sadness that the people of Japan are enduring. So many lives lost, homes destroyed, families ripped apart. If my heart is torn just thinking about it, how must the people of Japan feel? But the enormity of this tragedy should not overwhelm us to the point of paralysis. No act of kindness is ever too small. We can each take action and help.

In support of For Japan with Love, Truly Engaging will be participating in a day of silence tomorrow, March 18th. We encourage you to take this time to help the people of Japan.
