Today's sophisticated garden engagement shoot features beautiful bride-to-be Megan {a close MagnetStreet friend and freelance writer} and her husband-to-be, Adam! Their summer session by Janelle Elise Photography at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is warm, whimsical, elegant, and fun. Megan hand painted her own save the date and all other wedding stationery pieces for her and Adam's big day. In fact, she collaborated with our in-house designer, Megan, to hand paint and lay out our new Painterly Bouquet wedding suite. {Thanks, Megan and Megan!} With the wedding just a couple days away, we wish the gorgeous couple all the best! Megan's thoughts on her summer garden engagement session ... Winter is not my ideal season for a wedding. But sometimes in choosing your wedding date other factors take precedence. When our priorities called for a wedding date deep in the heart of winter, I became determined not to let the season limit the look and feel of our big day. Instead of drawing inspiration from my snowy surroundings, my vision was captured in our summer engagement session. The warm golden hour light and the enchanting garden greenery are two defining elements from our photo shoot. I intend to recreate the romantic energy of this time and place with soft florals, wild greens, and endless candles. I set the tone for my wedding by hand painting my Save the Dates with a leafy garland (a design that is now available to anyone on MagnetStreet.com!) I hope to have our guests step out of the cold and into a flourishing garden fairytale. Painterly Bouquet Save the Date Magnet: This completely hand-painted {by bride-to-be, Megan} save-the-date features watercolor green foliage framing your wedding day information. Whimsical typography spells all of your important details with an ampersand behind your names for a classic touch.
