Gold, Silver & Bronze

Have you been watching the London 2012 Olympic Games? I know, silly question. Of course you've been keeping an eye on the daily drama and total excitement over the last two weeks. We have lots of sports enthusiasts here at MagnetStreet--even two gymnasts. And not that we need any help with water cooler talk, but these amazing athletes have been great fodder for conversation. Personally, my favorite sport is what's happening right now ... track and field. Those speeds ... those heights ... how do they do it??

What is your favorite Olympic sport?

Gold: Prestigious.
Silver: Sophisticated.
Bronze: Enduring.

As for incorporating metallic colors into your wedding: Any one of these lovely metallics can be a gorgeous addition to a fall wedding--providing a touch of elegance or vintage appeal. Check out these two inspiration boards.

A Bit Of Olympic Trivia:
Going to NBC Olympics.com, I found a few fun facts:

Vincent van Gold?
The 1900 Paris Games remains the only Olympics where no medals were awarded. Instead, winners were given valuable pieces of art.

The real gold medal
The last Olympic gold medals that were made entirely out of gold were awarded in 1912.

Medal rules
... According to the Olympic Charter, the prize medals must be at least 60 millimeters in diameter and three millimeters thick. The silver medals must be made of 92.5 percent pure silver, and the gold medal must be gilded with at least six grams of gold.

So, which is your favorite sport?
