Partnerships Made in Heaven

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! He popped the question, and you said yes, and now the plans are in motion for the first day of married life together! We here at Truly Engaging and MagnetStreet Weddings are so excited for you as you plan your forever after with your man.

As a recent newlywed myself married for 17 short months, I’d like to give you a sneak peek into part of what’s in store for you in married life. I could write about a ton of things that I’ve learned and seen in the last year and a half, but the overriding theme that I soooo love and want to share is the idea loving partnership.

So far, the best part of marriage to me is this idea of my DH and I partnering together. Does it gets any better than being in a partnership with someone you love, respect and admire? Walking hand-in-hand through all that life throws at us, and figuring it all out one day at a time . . . knowing and being known at a deeper level than ever before, and changing, growing….it all keeps things very interesting!

If you have married friends, you’ve undoubtedly heard that marriage is not all a bed of roses (unless of course you count the thorns). There have been, and will continue to be, adjustments to make after the big day, compromises for sure and topics that you never dreamed would become issues. But, isn’t that the way life is?

So, we see the good, the not-so-good and everything in between, we enjoy the intensely happy, utopia-like times along with the challenges, we get surprised by life and then . . . we make our lives together out of these things. Together . . . that’s the key idea in partnership.
