Along with a colossal crush on sepia-toned wedding photos, we adore Rachael and Allen's nautical-beach themed wedding. Allen's blue and white seersucker suit is awesome and Rachael looks beautiful and absolutely at home on the beach. Their wedding photos are even more special--in that Hurricane Sandy hit just a little over a month after their September 22nd wedding--only to devastate this Jersey Shore Community, her parents' home, and the Mantoloking Yacht Club: their reception venue.
I love love the attitude that Rachael and Allen took to govern their big day with: "We didn't worry about every detail of the wedding, as long as we had our family and friends with us, it was going to be a great day." Just awesome!
Enjoy!

Highlights of the day
My husband just said, "My highlight of the day was when you said yes!" {Haha, very funny!} My highlight was not only him saying yes back, but also the 75-minute boat ride around Barnegat Bay with just Allen, I, our photographer and the boat captain. We took the boat to the reception, which was very special as well. We took the ride after we took pictures on the beach and it was Allen and I enjoying the moment of just being married and being with each other before the reception started. It was very nice.
Advice we're glad we took
We didn't worry about every detail of the wedding, as long as we had our family and friends with us, it was going to be a great day. And, it was.
Advice you wish you took
None, we are the last of our friends to get married, so we have had a wealth of experience and couples telling us what works and what does not.
To encapsulate the love on their day, Rachael and Allen chose Ribbon Love Thank You Card--personalized in their wedding colors.
Pro Shout Out
Marissa DeCinque Photography
Marissa and her crew did a phenomenal job the whole wedding day. The shot for the thank you card captured our emotions on the boat ride perfectly. She was also able to take a picture of my small dog/papillion, Scout, standing at my dress before our ride over to the church and I think that was my favorite picture from the wedding.
Something Nice Floral Designs
Our florist was amazing. Carol from Something Nice put together great hurricane vases with tapered candles, it was perfect.
Soiree Catering
Our caterer, Lucia, was my defacto wedding planner. I don't think I could have had the reception and planning go as smoothly if not for her and her crew. Lucia is hands-down the best caterer I have ever met and the food is phenomenal, she truly caters to whatever type of party you are looking to have. She also makes sure the day is special and represents the people who she is catering the party for.
MagnetStreet Weddings
Magnet Street did a great job, especially with the thank you card, I have received so many compliments from the recipients. There were also a lot of designs and colors to edit the cards, which was very helpful as well.
Thank you for sharing your gorgeous day with us Rachael and Allen! We wish you love, joy, peace and happiness!
