Gorgeous couple, Maggie and Brian, ordered a lot of gorgeous wedding stationery pieces from Truly Engaging, and we were super excited when Maggie tagged us on Facebook! If you're looking for an intimate wedding setting that is stunningly elegant and full of picturesque details, look no further than your local bed and breakfast. Here are just a few reasons by bed and breakfasts are amazing for weddings ... (and really, scrolling through Maggie and Brian's wedding photos is reason enough!).
6 reasons why B&B weddings are amazing
1. All-in-one wedding venue
From a rehearsal dinner in the dining room the day before to a garden-side ceremony and twilight reception under a lofty canopy—B&Bs have it all to host the wedding of your dreams. Some can only accommodate smaller intimate weddings with fewer guests, so that's a good thing to check ahead of time.
2. Everyone stays together
A venue that your guests can conveniently and comfortably enjoy all weekend long ... win! If you have family or friends coming in from out of town, a B&B is a great place for them to stay before and after your wedding festivities. Plus it serves as a little vacation getaway from the busyness of life .. sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine, mixing and mingling.
3. More intimate
Not everyone wants a large wedding, so bed and breakfasts serves as a great option for special, more intimate events. With more cozy spaces and extra rooms, you can take advantage of spending more time with your fiance and close family members before and after the wedding.
4. Onsite or local catering & vendor perks
Besides the included breakfasts that most B&Bs offer, many have catering services available for your convenience. And if they do not, B&B owners are often super connected to local establishments and have connections that can help you save money—and feeling confident in the vendor recommendations they may have (restaurants, florists, spas, limo companies, etc.).
5. Cost
At a B&B, you likely won't see site site fees. Their wedding packages usually include catering, decor, and other perks ... and they're far less expensive than coined "wedding" vendors. With a lot of guests rooming onsite and absorbing the fees, you can usually expect per person rates to be less but with more personalized services.
6. Perfect wedding photo ops
Awwww, just imagine the photos you can get in the gardens, sprawling lawns, on the wraparound porch, or next to a beautiful pond. B&Bs have built-in unique and gorgeous backdrops for wedding photos, both outdoors and indoors. Plus lots of B&Bs are nearby or in sweet towns that offer unique shots in front of cool old buildings or on Main Street.
