I was thinking more along the lines of cute and funky as I was looking for groomsmen gift ideas~ ya know like really unique cuff-links. THEN, I happened upon the article "Think Outside The Box For Groomsmen Gifts, Best Man Gifts" at All The Grooms Men ~and snapped right out of it... changing my line of thinking from futility to utility!
here's a snippet from the article
"If men were doing more of the planning you would see more gift ideas like watches, small tools, fishing tackle, pedometers, and other gifts that you could actually use. Men want to use stuff. They’re not interested in little knickknacks that just hang around forever and are forgotten about in some dusty corner."
A great reminder... men want stuff they can use. It's certainly true in my house.
If you and your groom are not already on the same page about this, my advice is to read the rest of this helpful article and then leave the task of choosing the groomsmen gifts up to the groom! He'll know what to get and it's one less thing for you to worry about.
