Last November, we featured Erin and Justin's pretty engagement session in the historic town of Stillwater, MN. And now it's doubly exciting to see all of their hard work and planning culminated and captured in their wedding photos. And of course, we're in love with how they carried their adorable Gerber Daisy and polka dot theme throughout their decor and stationery. Justin and Erin's was a classic wedding--full of tradition but with a fun, modern spin. Enjoy and read along as lovely Erin shares highlights, moments and advice from their big day! If something were to go wrong that day, I just thought to myself, "who cares!" I was a very relaxed bride because of that. Best part of the day: I guess I would have to say when our Justice of the Peace presented us as Mr. and Mrs. Rolstad and we finally got to kiss. Hearing the crowd applaud and rejoice was so great. It was one of the happiest moments of my life. Advice I would like to give: The same advice that a lot of people told me--to relax and enjoy every second of the day. It goes by so fast that you shouldn't waist any of your time worrying or obsessing over little things. All that matters is that your getting married to the love of your life. {Rectangle Wedding Programs} {Custom Table Number cards and Favor Boxes} Highlighted moments: The father/daughter dance was very special. My Dad actually never told me what song we were going to dance to, he kept it a surprise all the way up to when we walked onto the dance floor that night. Turns out my Dad and Step Dad, R.T. worked together behind my back. R.T. went to the studio and recorded "Lady in Red" originally sung by Chris De Burgh. My Dad and I used to dance to that song in the living room of our old house that I grew up in. R.T. sang the words a little differently so it was "Daughter in White". (Just to fill you in on a couple things: my Dad and Step Dad have a great relationship, and R.T. is a musician) So when the DJ announced that the song was "Lady in Red" and it would be sung by my Step Dad R.T. I automatically burst into tears. I cried on my Dad's shoulder the entire dance. I even heard my dad sniffling. Another highlight: the speeches The speeches were amazing. Justin's brother Chris (Best Man), my sister Liz(Matron of Honor), and my 2 older brothers who were groomsmen said such thoughtful things that brought constant tears to my eyes. *Overall, our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and we wish we could relive it over and over!* Carrying their wedding theme Erin and Justin took their polka dots, Gerber Daisy motif, and black, white and red color scheme of their Save the Date, and carried the same look and feel to their custom-designed stationery suite: Foldover Pocket Invitations & Enclosures, Programs, Table Number Cards, Favor Boxes and Thank You Cards. The result is vibrant, memorable and totally cohesive: beautiful job! Pro Shout Out Megan Daas Photography Our photographer Megan was great at catching unforgettable moments with her camera. Prime Time DJ Our DJ Adam Welz, with Prime Time DJ was the best I've ever seen. He knew exactly what to do or say to keep our guests entertained the entire night. Lakeside Floral Our florist Joanie at Lakeside Floral in Willnerie, MN came up with beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces. I think I changed my mind over a dozen times, but she was still patient and easy to work with. Fabulous Photo Booth A big hit! Town and Country Catering, Absolutely delicious! Buttercream Wedding Cakes We are so glad we got our cake from Buttercream Wedding Cakes. It turned out beautiful and it was delicious! MagnetStreet Weddings Working with MagnetStreet was one of the best decisions we made with the whole wedding planning. It took so much stress off of me to get practically everything taken care. The quality of the products are better than any that I've seen, and very professional looking. I'm so lucky that I got to work with Mindi, she was so talented when it came to designing what I wanted. I basically told the designer my color scheme and my love for polka dots, and she created exactly what I was imagining! I went with the Foldover pocket invitations because it looked so original and well organized. I went with the rectangle programs because I wanted them to be simple and classic. The favor boxes were my favorite! It was so nice not having to worry about making my own favors. All I had to do was get stuff to put inside of them, which I did black, white, and red M&M's. Congratulations Erin and Justin! Thank you for sharing both your engagement session and your wedding day with us! And I fess up to tearing up at your recounting of your father/daughter dance. So sweet! We wish you both all the blessings and happiness in the world. xo
