I'm thrilled to showcase Twin Cities wedding and portrait photographer, Jessica Sanders Newbauer and this fun and colorful Minneapolis wedding starring newlyweds... Dan and Katie! yay! Venues: Holy Cross Church in Minneapolis and Embassy Suites in Brooklyn Center, MN. They also had quite a bit of fun when they stopped at the historic Stone Arch Bridge in Mnpls to take a few shots too.
"One of the coolest days of August, but still sunny and warm. The cloud coverage was ideal for photos! Dan and Katie, and their wedding party were very playful. They had the "sunglasses war" during their bridal party photos. Their day was full of smiles, love, and support from their friends and family." {Jessica}
a few wedding day details... from the bride
"We wanted a fun, summery feel that incorporated things that we liked. The color of the bridesmaids' dresses "pool" is our favorite color, which is why we picked it! We thought the gray tuxes would go well with the bridesmaid dresses, plus it is different than the usual black tuxes. We think the white shoes complimented the tuxes well and the guys just kept saying the tuxes were sexy. As for the flowers, we wanted something bright!"
{Dan and Katie went to high school together and now live in Maryland. Family members helped them plan their MN wedding because they were unable to meet with vendors until the final week before.}

"We also loved the last minute detail of buying fun glasses for the wedding party. They not only made the pictures fun, but brought an exciting energy to the wedding party. Also, one of my favorite things was that the ring bearers carried the real rings down the aisle and gave the rings to Dan and the best man. It was a simple thing, but very special!"
"We were also able to incorporate one of our favorite vacation spots: Las Vegas. At the reception we named the tables after Las Vegas resorts. We bought playing cards from each of the resorts to use as the guests' place cards. Each guest had a "hand" of playing cards (a DIY project) that corresponded to the table name to which they were to sit at. Also, the tables had chocolate poker chips scattered around. Though everything didn't really go together perfectly, we just wanted a day that showed who we are as a couple: fun, easy-going, creative and loving!"
Thank You & Congratulations Dan and Katie! We Wish You the Absolute Best!!
