Rebecca and Nick make such a beautiful couple! We were thrilled they shared their urban chic engagement shoot after ordering elegant Save the Date Magnets from MagnetStreet. The two lovebirds met online and fell in love. Nick is an architect and wanted shots along the riverwalk, with a backdrop of buildings and bridges. Rebecca, from Washington, D.C., loves a city vibe. The result? A two-part engagement session on the scenic Columbia Riverwalk and the historic Vista district in Columbia, SC. Nature and city ... fun! Their photographer from Two Young Photography perfectly captured the sweet couple against the stunning landscape and cityscape. {I LOVE Rebecca's blue lace dress!} Check out more from their session and Rebecca's insight into their love story and upcoming wedding. The proposal! I knew it was coming because Nick actually designed the ring and kept showing it to me to make sure I liked it. He can't keep a secret for his life, so I knew he had the ring and he had hinted that it would happen when we were visiting my family in Maryland. We were in Maryland for University of Maryland (my undergrad) homecoming for the weekend, and I thought it was going to happen every time I turned around. Little did I know, Nick didn't have the ring the whole weekend. He had given it to my mom for safekeeping, and on our last day there, we went to lunch and a waiter came out with the ring on a silver platter. Nick proposed, I cried (I'm a big crier) and when I turned around my parents (and the whole staff of the restaurant) were there applauding. Their wedding theme We're getting married on New Year's Eve, so the theme is "party!" We're encouraging black-tie, so we hope people get really dressed up and make a big night of it. We're getting married in a reclaimed historic warehouse, and it's all wood with exposed steel beams. We're balancing it out with gold sequin accents, cafe string lights, and greenery. My mom refers to it as "urban chic." Nick's favorite photo Nick likes the pictures where we're holding hands in the middle of the street. Because as an designer, he likes the contrast with the cobblestone and the old streetcar lines in the road. Rebecca's fave photo I can't get over the look on Nick's face, and I love that the lights showed up in the background! From 3 samples to their stunning Save the Date (with a glittery Carrier Card!) I knew I wanted magnets ... My sister actually found a Groupon for us, so I took a look at the site. Once I saw that we could order samples and get the money refunded from our order, I bought the deal! We ordered 3 different samples, and almost bought a mixture because we liked them all so much!
