It's November! And let's be honest ... the holidays will be here before we know it. This also means is the unofficial beginning of the engagement season! We're super excited to kick it off with Jenna and Matt's breathtaking sunrise proposal. Did we mention it's a surprise proposal?
This one is definitely in our top list of favorites. Grab the eye candy and the awesome story of how the surprise came to be—plus a pretty Spring 2018 color palette inspired by their session.
Jenna approached her photographer to grab updated portraits for their apartment, so they landed on a couples' sunrise session in the magnificent North Cascades of Washington. See the pretty turquoise water? That's Lake Diablo ... and this scene perfectly depicts what dreams are made of. Wow.
Matt emailed their photographer, Kristina, ahead of the sunrise session, letting her know he wanted to propose to Jenna. They coordinated and planned the surprise sunrise proposal the day before at a coffee shop. He passed the engagement ring off to Kristina, and they picked out a gorgeous bouquet from jessica vann-campbell flowers for Jenna to hold during their session {they matched her dress perfectly!}.
They headed out at 3 a.m. to get to the remote scenic overlook. Matt and photographer Kristina pretended to meet each other for the first time, while she kept the ring and flowers hidden from Jenna. Matt went to go get a "blanket" with Jenna waiting on the rock ... and well ... then the magic happened! *Cue the tears*
And finally, the Spring 2018 color palette we crafted from the chic attire and majestic mountain lake backdrop of Matt and Jenna's surprise sunrise proposal!
