Although $5,000 and a free trip to NYC to shop just might be worth all of the humiliation... I'll do my best to avoid being filmed and ambushed by the snarky {albeit hilarious} Clinton and Stacy of What Not to Wear, thank you very much. However, I do love the show~ especially Clinton, he's so quick! And, they know what they're talking about.
“Colors that flatter you never go out of style. Just choose wisely. Have a lot of Pink in your skin? Beware of bright Cherry Reds which might make it even Pinker. Instead, try shades of Burgundy or Maroon that are easier to wear. Yellow undertones? Avoid Mustard Yellows which may make you look sallow. Gold or even Lemon Yellows might be more flattering to your complexion. And if your skin is losing some of its natural luster, bright jewel tones are the best way to bring your look back to life.” {Clinton Kelly}
Here's Pantone's fashion color palette {based on New York fashion week 2/09} for this fall. It's all about subtle contrasts with lots of color yet the basics remain strong. I think it's a gorgeous array. From a true Red to Honey Yellow to Iron {the new black} to warm Rose, Olive and Beige. Personally, I'm loving... Burnt Sienna {a fab fall classic} Warm Olive and Majolica Blue. Beauties indeed.
