Minneapolis Engagement photos

Don't you love it when a couple's easy-breezy vibe and love for each other is so transparent that you can't help but smile? Meet Amber & Jonathan, one seriously adorable couple with a penchant for playfulness and super cool aviators! That said, every couple has a certain style to them right? Well, here's Amber on why they chose the historic Mississippi Riverfront area as the locale for their photos and how they represented their style ...

"I am an Interior Designer and Jonathan is a Landscape Architecture student at the University of Minnesota. We wanted to have our love of architecture {both old and new} in the backgrounds of our photos--so that's how we chose our location. We also wanted our photos to reflect us as a couple and chose themes based on that.

Everything we used as props were things we brought from our house. We love to play games hence the scrabble board ... The Vegas cards we brought back from our vacation last spring ... Our friends tease us that we eat a lot of popcorn so we had some fun pics with a box of popcorn ... My favorite color is red--so we found some red balloons and had fun with those too ... We also had those cute red love dice from a previous Valentine's Day gift and thought they would be fun as well.

The photo shoot was so fun!"

Thanks Amber & Jonathan for sharing what was clearly a very fun engagement session and a lovely prelude to your big day! Once again, these photos are proof that all you need for really great photos is a couple in love, in a meaningful area, and a talented photographer like Emily Theisen to capture it all!
