From kicking-up cowboy boots to a stunning venue, Katie and Mike's rustic barn wedding is simply magical! The lovely couple invited guests to their rustic-meets-modern wedding soiree with our modern So Sharp! wedding invite, and we were pumped when their photographer, Lauren Allmond, shared shots from their big day. Nestled in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, The Barn on Bridge is a fully-restored event venue with origins in the 18th century. The barn itself is abounding with vintage details and rustic flair, while stunning scenery surrounds. It all tied together to provide the perfect backdrop for Katie and Mike's unforgettable rustic barn wedding! You'll definitely swoon over their wedding day photos. The romance, fun, and great times abound. And while you're at it ... grab some wedding photography tips from the pro, Lauren! Their invite is ahh-mazing! It's modern, fun, and full of modern-meets-rustic flair. Stripes, polka dots, zigzags and bold patterns are showered throughout pieces in this suite. We love the gorgeous golden yellow and navy blue color combo Katie and Mike went with! The guys relaxed with some darts before the festivities. Lauren's #1 reminder The most important thing is not to stress! Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the the happiest days of your life, and my goal is to help you make memories. That includes the photo session! The best thing you can do is to enjoy your day so that I can capture those moments for you. Even the darling flower girl donned some sparkly cowboy boots! Seriously ... these kids! So.cute. Married! The photo(s) you must get ... Well, there's always the one for mom/grandmom/aunt's mantle - and that's the classic bride and groom looking at the camera. Aside from that I really just try to capture the moments. We'll do a ton of posed stuff, but don't worry so much about *which* photo you're getting, worry about making moments that I can then capture. You want your images to be unique to your day! Helping your photographer on the big day: The things I find that help the most are an accurate timeline (which we work on together, prior to the event), and also communication with all vendors. So, for instance, if we're doing some more photographs right after the ceremony to capture that gorgeous sunset it's important to make sure your venue coordinator knows that ahead of time. Things go so much smoother when everyone is in the know! The spring sprinkles didn't put a damper on Katie and Mike's day. In fact, it made for intimate shots with an umbrella against the lush green scenery! The swing is super fun ... and super cute! The loft overlooking the dance floor ... wow! Congrats to Katie and Mike! <3
