Katie and Michael had an outdoor ceremony and a beautiful elegant, chandelier barn reception on the grounds on a gorgeous, sunny fall day. 
The atmosphere of their big day was created with a blend of elegant decor and the exquisitely rustic wedding venue {and we LOVE the old truck!}. We so love their wedding stationery ... Floral Lace Pocket Wedding Invite from MagnetStreet "I had been searching for the perfect invitation and just wasn’t finding it anywhere. I stumbled upon MagnetStreet when looking for a magnet “Save the Date” and was surprised to see that they had such a wide variety of invitations as well. The part that sold it for me was that I could alter every single aspect of the invitations to make it how I wanted it.." 
That DRESS! "I got my wedding dress at Trudy’s in Campbell and I had the best experience! The lady helping me listened to what I was looking for and pulled some dresses she thought I would like ... and she hit the nail on the head! Once she put the veil on me, she had all the ladies that were with me in tears." 
Their engagement story "My husband owns a restaurant, and we decided to host a Super Bowl party there last year. At halftime, he had me go into the back office to turn down the sound on the TVs so we could announce the winner of the halftime pool. When I came back out, there he was down on one knee in front of all our family and friends!" 
No first look! "We did not decide to do a first look. I wanted to see his first reaction as I walked down the aisle." 
Day-of improvising ... it happens to everyone! "Right as our ceremony started the sound from the officiant’s microphone kept cutting out and crackling. The DJ ended up cutting the feed and our officiant just started talking louder and louder. I had to chuckle as it was happening. I know at least the first few rows could definitely hear what he was saying!" 
Favorite photo "There is a photo of our second kiss halfway down the aisle on our walk out. I loved the lighting and how all the colors popped." 
Something borrowed, blue, old, and new "My something old was a piece of lace from my mom’s wedding dress that was sewn into the hem of my dress along with an emerald ring from my grandmother who had just passed away about 6 months before the wedding. Something new was my dress, shoes, and accessories. Something borrowed was a bracelet from one of my dear friends and bridesmaid. Since I didn’t have anything blue, I ended up painting my toenails the brightest blue I could find!" 
Mmmm ... homemade wedding pie "I’ve never been a cake person, but I love pie! Once our family members heard that we wanted to have pie at the wedding, a bunch of them volunteered to make some pies. We ended up with a gorgeous pie display made by those closest to us, it was really special!" 
Highlight of the day "The best part was the party after dinner. Everyone was up on the dance floor having a great time!" 
Any advice for brides planning their wedding? "Don’t stress. This is going to be the one of the happiest days of your life. Things are bound to go wrong at some point, but I guarantee that no one will notice, and it’s not worth ruining your day over. Just relax and enjoy every moment!"
