Welp, hate to admit it ... but autumn is right around the corner. It's breezy, the mornings are getting cooler, and even the leaves are starting to change. They say if you can't beat them, join them. So we're joining in and digging up some inspiration with this fabulous early fall urban engagement session that features an adorable furry friend and some gorgeous autumny colors.
We all know most people see their dog as part of their family, so it’s only natural that high school sweethearts Jessie and Zach had their fur baby join in on their engagement session. You can't help but giggle a bit at the furry facial expressions their Australian shepherd makes as his people go in for a kiss! (Insert ROFL emoji here!)
Urban Engagement Shoot With Pops of Fall Color
Burnt oranges and yellows, cool greens and blues against the urban industrial backdrop of this e-session inspires our aptly-named Frolic fall color palette. The awesome mosaic of color in the brick walls, cobblestone street, and neat graffiti makes for such a unique backdrop for a fun-filled and romantic photo shoot. Check it all out throughout Jessie and Zach's urban engagement session in New York's SoHo neighborhood, plus some snippets from an interview with their talented photographer!
"We have two fur-babies. One of them is a three year old Australian shepherd that will be with us when we are taking pictures as well as being in the wedding. The other is a loving cat that we adopted a few years ago."
Jessie: "I knew he was the one when I realized that he loved me unconditionally. That he would never give up on me no matter what I was doing."
Zach: "From the moment we became friends I knew that I wanted to be with her. I loved everything about her and I knew that the rest of my life would be amazing if we were together."
"We have been together now for almost ten years. In that time we have moved from New York to Michigan. From Michigan to California and now from California back to New York. We both watch anime and play video games together. We have met many friends online who we meet up with every two years at different locations."
"I proposed to Jessie in our apartment. Candles were lit and rose pedals were on the floor. She walked through the door completely surprised at the scene that was in front of her. I got down on one knee and popped the question. She had no idea that I was going to do it. As far as the planning process goes, I had the ring for a few months before I decided on how I wanted to do it. Jessie does not really care to be the center of attention so doing it at home was the way to go."
"We will be tying the knot at FEAST at the Roundhill on August 14th, 2020. This will be our eleven year anniversary."
