One of my favorite things to do in the entire world is to wake up early on Saturday morning, curl up on the couch with my coffee, my husband (yes, in that order) and watch a classic movie. With no cell phones ringing, I can immerse myself into old Hollywood glam, edgy writing, or shadowy scenes that leave so much to my imagination. Transported outside my living room to a by-gone time that I have no real-life experience with, I recognize the style, grace, charm, wit and spice… these movies so often embody.

The difference between Vintage clothing vs. Antique clothing
According to Catherine Owsianiecki author of A Crash Course in Vintage Shopping, antique is pre-1920’s clothing and vintage clothing is from the 1920’s-1970’s.
What is your style? Do you start to get charged up when you hear terms like ivory silk satin, Chantilly lace and cream organza? Do button gloves, silk-tulle veils and cultured pearls do anything for you? I feel like I should be capitalizing these items as proper nouns…because of the luxuriousness of materials. Such delicate, exquisite and detailed workmanship would probably cost a fortune to make today.
Why would anyone want to have a vintage style wedding?
