California Wedding: Maren & Paul

With the ocean on one side and perfect weather all around, Maren and Paul were married in Santa Barbara, California {aka the American Riviera}. A gorgeous couple with gorgeous taste—their casual yet elegant style is evident throughout their wedding photos. From the lovely Mediterranean style resort venue and formal dress, to photos on the beach with their little Yorkie named Pepper, theirs was truly a picture perfect wedding.

Highlights of the day
Sipping champagne with my bridesmaids while getting our makeup and hair done ... Holding my bouquet for the first time ... Kissing my husband and walking down the aisle as man and wife ... Eating that first bite of cake ... Taking funny photo booth pictures in my wedding dress ... Listening to my brother give the best speech at our reception ... Throwing the bouquet ...

Advice you’re glad you took
My long-time hairdresser and friend Molly Alliano told me to give myself permission to indulge a little in the wedding and spend a little more on details I really wanted but hadn’t thought to budget for beforehand. Spoiling yourselves a little during this special time is important- it only comes once!

Advice you wish you'd taken
Don’t sweat the small stuff! Which was kind of impossible.

Advice you’d like to give
When you wake up on your wedding day don’t stress about all the details coming together, just grab a glass of champagne and enjoy the ride. This is the day you have been planning and working for forever. Nothing goes absolutely perfect, but the imperfections give you those great “I can’t believe that happened” stories to tell for years to come.

Best part of the whole wedding day
Coming back to our wedding suite and seeing the room covered in rose petals and candles and a tower full of chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting for Mr. and Mrs. Savignano.

Proof that you can have your love of different designs and still achieve a coordinated wedding look throughout your stationery, Paul and Maren personalized two different Photo Booth style Save the Date designs:{top} Sweetly Sealed and {bottom} Slide Show along with Antique Filigree Foldover Wedding Invitation plus Enclosures. Gorgeous, no?!

For their Thank You Cards, Paul and Maren personalized Wall of Love design--putting Pepper {their adorbs Yorkie} on the Labels & Seals. *Love*

Vendor Shout Out

Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore
Maria Axiotis made sure everything fit our tastes and style. They went above and beyond during our stay delivering complimentary drinks and snacks to our room the day of the wedding to make sure we were taken care of. They even sent up a special treat for our dog Pepper who was also our ring bearer J

Phase4Photography
Elizabeth Engle from Phase4Photography talent and personality really set her apart from all the other photographers we met with. She made us comfortable and was so easy to work with. I couldn’t be happier with our photos. The only challenge is picking my favorites for a wedding album!

Simply Bouquets
Our florist was Claudia Hamers and Jennifer Thompson from Simply Bouquets. They did a wonderful job on all our flowers and the bouquets were perfect. I especially loved their re-creation of the aisle rose petal design I saw on Pinterest!

MagnetStreet Weddings
I used MagnetStreet for my Save the Date magnets and loved them so much I decided to use them for my Invitations and Thank You cards as well. I loved that I could pick a design and embellish with custom address labels, seals, and anything else my heart desired. I like the little extras I was able to personalize (like putting our Yorkie, Pepper, on the envelope seals of our Thank You cards) because it allowed our personality as a couple to come through. I chose the Wall of Love design because it had that elegance I was looking for but still allowed us to show our fun side with extra pictures from our big day.

La Soie Bridal
My dress was from the boutique’s own label and one of the first few that I had tried on. It captured everything I had been envisioning for months."

Nina
My jewelry was from Nina. When I saw her designs I knew it would be the perfect complement to my dress. Well worth the splurge!"

Thank you Paul and Maren--for sharing snapshots from your lovely day! On behalf of your wedding pros, I can say that it's a privilege for us to have played a part in it! We wish you all the best!
