Gorgeous couple, Daphne and Hubert, tied the knot on a gorgeous late-August day. With their traditional Chinese wedding tea ceremony, luxe golf club reception, and family and friends abounding—their day was full of very special and intimate moments.

It's a special time to show respect to the bride and groom's elders and express gratitude for looking after them until the wedding day. Not only was Daphne's traditional red dress stunning for their tea ceremony ... but she changed into a simple and stunning lace wedding dress for the remainder of the day.

Badminton & A Proposal The couple met during badminton practice at UPenn. He was in medical school and she was working on her PhD. They each played badminton on the side to battle stress ... and it turns out it was also a game changer for their future when they met. It was during a romantic weekend getaway at a bed and breakfast near Lancaster when Hubert proposed. After a nice walk along a path, he smuggled the hand into her hand while walking. {I love simple and subtle proposals!} 
Their first look "The series of photos during the first look were great. It really showed a pure candid reaction for us both!" 
Finding the dress(es) "The process wasn't too complicated. I had an idea that I wanted the dress to just be simple and beautiful. And the red dress for the tea ceremony was quite traditional without too much flair, since I wasn't looking for something too extravagant." 
Quiet wedding day location "We wanted something quiet and away from the city, with a nice rustic type of feel ... as well as a place with great amenities and supportive staff and managers." 
The vows "We did write our own vows. The entire vows for both of us were unique, since we wrote them personally to one another. It was heartfelt and sincere. There were many tears from both of us and from what I heard in the crowd as well!" 
Mmm, cake "It was a simple white cake, decorated with seasonal flowers and our color theme for the wedding." 
Highlight "The whole day was wonderful, seeing all our family and friends in the same room gave us the most amazing feeling." 
Looking forward to ... "Continuing on the journey of life with my best friend!"
