Destination Wedding: Brynnen and Dave

I was so excited to get an email from Brynnen {& Dave} that included their wedding photos from the Bahamas! A phenomenal locale... and beautiful bride Brynnen, was sweet enough to give us a few highlights from her amazing wedding~ as well as savvy advice for destination wedding planning brides. Enjoy!

"The best part of a destination wedding was being able to have our family and friends with us for more than one day.  The wedding day goes by faster than I can even describe and we were lucky that we had people with us for four days, so we felt like we were able to spend quality time with each person who came. Our families and friends were able to meet each other and we made memories we will treasure forever.

My best advice for destination wedding brides (if you are slightly type A like me), is to send your wedding coordinator pictures of what you want.  I sent our coordinator pictures of the cake, the flowers, the decor and that was really helpful for her to see our vision.  Since we were not able to be there to see things in person and it may be hard for a coordinator to anticipate a bride's vision--the more detail you give the planner, the better.  My other suggestion (if it is in your budget) is to ensure you have a photographer you trust. We were able to have our good friends and phenomenal photographers Melissa & Adam Burkholder {MDesignandphotography.com} photograph the wedding. Melissa has an amazing eye and was able to capture so many wonderful moments.

At the end of the day though, you are surrounded by people who love you and you just married your best friend, so I honestly didn't notice any hiccups.  I just let go on the wedding day, and enjoyed every moment. Our parents have 70 years of marriage between the two of them and they have been our greatest role models, so one of our highlights was seeing them so happy for us and seeing them glow as much as we were."

Thank you Brynnen and Dave for sharing your gorgeous wedding with us... just lovely!

Congratulations and we wish you much happiness!! xo
