Purple and Grey Modern-Traditional Wisconsin Wedding

Purple and Grey Wedding with Modern-Traditional Touches

We're excited to bring you Brian and Alyssa's purple and grey wedding with its modern-traditional touches. Love and familiarity was in the air as their stately ceremony took place in Alyssa's hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin at her old church. Alyssa looked lovely in her ivory beaded dress, so beautifully embellished with pearls and rhinestones. Everything about this wedding was accented with love and thoughtfulness. And even though it started to rain, a sunny outlook never left their dispositions. Their day was full of joy and excitement--just look at their happy faces! Enjoy as Brian and Alyssa share details and advice from their big day.

The best part of the whole day...
Having everyone we love and care about with us on our special day, and being with each other!

Highlights from the day...
Alyssa: "Walking down the aisle and seeing my family and friends, and my hubby-to-be!"
Brian: "Seeing Alyssa walk down the aisle in her beautiful dress!"

Our Maid of Honor and Best Men speeches. Each one of their speeches was wonderful and they put so much thought into them.
Watching our guests do the Chicken Dance to make us kiss!

Alyssa's Dress...
Alyssa’s wedding dress was an ivory, strapless, fit and flare from David's Bridal. It had lots of beading and accents (pearls and rhinestones), as well as a corset and a train. Her veil, hair piece, necklace, bracelet and earrings accented the details in her wedding dress very nicely. Each piece had a mix of pearls and rhinestones on them. Alyssa got her necklace and earrings from Etsy.

Advice well taken...
Things will go wrong. All of us hope for the perfect wedding day, but going into our day, it helped for us to look at it as hey, things may go wrong, but that is okay. It rained on our wedding day, but fortunately we made the best of it, and we were able to work around the rain while taking our wedding pictures. It started pouring rain once our reception started, thankfully it was indoors!! The day turned out great for us after all--because of the mindset we had.

Advice you'd like to give...
Take a moment to step back and look at all that you have accomplished leading up to your special day. It takes so much time and effort to get to that one day, and it is over with so quickly. Also, cherish your day with your spouse and loved ones, and don't sweat the little things. Some other things to consider: make sure to provide a meal for your wedding party either prior to the ceremony or providing snacks during pictures, especially if you have a long afternoon ahead of you before the reception starts! Another thing would be ... selecting a videographer. It is a wonderful way to relive the day. We find ourselves watching our highlight video over and over again!

MagnetStreet Weddings
We enjoyed using MagnetStreet's website over any other wedding stationery website because of the amount of personalization and flexibility the site offers.  No other site offered the amount of customization in color preferences, viewing options, and stationery design. We made our Save the Date Magnets, Wedding Programs, and Thank You Cards using MagnetStreet tools. We utilized various photos from our photographer in designing our stationary. We had a wonderful experience with using their website, and would highly recommend it over many of the various other offerings available.

Ari Rosenthal Photography
Erin was our photographer and had taken our engagement photos, so it was great to see the kind of work she did way before our wedding. She does an amazing job, and we would highly recommend her! Marisa was our videographer. We were fortunate enough to be able to have her, especially since we decided to go ahead with a videographer about a month before our wedding. She also did an amazing job and she comes highly recommended! She also put together a beautiful highlight video for us.

Butte des Morts Country Club
Butte des Morts Country Club was our venue. We worked with Kim from beginning to end. She helped us greatly when it came to the final details of table placement, table linens, meals, beverages, etc. Butte des Morts provided a beautiful venue, as well as delicious meals and beverages.

Manderfield’s Bakery

Manderfield’s Bakery made our wedding cake. It had three different layers: chocolate cake with strawberry filling, marble cake with fudge filling, and red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.

Branching Out & Company
Branching Out & Company did our flowers. We had real flowers for the bouquets, corsages, boutineers, and wedding arrangements. From our rehearsal dinner to our reception, we reused our centerpieces to be used on different tables (i.e. place card table and pre-function room tables) at our reception. It definitely saved us some money! Also, we had our church pew arrangements reused on the staircase at our reception hall. It was a great addition to both settings!

Audio Excitement
Audio Excitement provided our music. Nic Betow was our DJ that night. He did an amazing job, and not only played our music, but also took pictures from the start of dinner to the end of our reception! It worked out great, because our photographer left at 9 pm. Nic took pictures up until 12 am! He also provided us with a DVD of our pictures at the end of the night. Another thing that really stood out about Audio Excitement was the fact that they provided a large screen and would play music videos along with the songs. It was awesome reliving music through the past 50 years! Our guests really enjoyed that, as well as the plastic blow-up guitars they provided!

Night Out Limousine
Night Out Limousine was very reliable, and showed up on time. Their vehicle was very well maintained.
"We would like to give a special thanks to all of our vendors for helping to make our wedding day memorable, and something we will cherish for a lifetime!  You all did a fantastic job!"

Thanks!
