Real Wedding: Vintage Shabby-Chic

We're so excited to bring you Amanda and Brent's vintage shabby chic wedding today. Not only does this gorgeous wedding resonate with a comfortable elegance, it's also filled with tender moments and fabulous DIY elements. And, Amanda is also the twin sister of Melinda--our project manager here at MagnetStreet! Yay!

From the river to the woods, this real Minnesota wedding is full of pure sunshine, joy and super cute kids! Relaxed and elegant at the same time, be inspired by all the clever DIY touches that include: burlap pew bows and signage, props for the photo booth guest book, vintage typewriter for typing out a note to the bride and groom, handmade flowers and more! And of course, we love how Amanda and Brent personalized their stationery to connect with their vintage style.

So without further ado ... here is our beautiful bride to recount the day--let's let these beautiful images do most of the talking!

Highlights of the day:
...Having my bridesmaids with me to get ready that morning ... Singing Whitney Houston while getting my hair done ... Mom putting my jewelry on ... Seeing Brent for the first time ... Standing with my Dad before the ceremony started ... saying Our vows ...hearing the Pastor's sermon with the word AGAPE in it ... hearing the words MR. and MRS. PALMER ... having an amazing time with The photographers at the barn and the boom site down by the river ... And of course, The reception was amazing!

Everything was perfect and beautiful!

Advice I am glad I took:
Don't let anyone else's opinion persuade your decisions, It's your wedding!

Advice I wish I'd taken:
Take a second to take it all in. Sit with your new husband/wife at the back of the room at the reception and just watch and enjoy for 10 minutes because it goes by in a blink of an eye!

Advice I would like to give:
Have a guest book! I did a scrapbook guest book to go with a photo booth and I'm disappointed that if they didn't do the photo booth, I don't know exactly who was all there. If you have a guestbook, then you'll be able to look back and know exactly who was there. With all that goes on, it's possible to not get a chance to talk to everyone there!

lmj {originals}: I want to shout it to everybody that LISA JASTER with lmj originals and her partner Shelley, were absolutely FABULOUS!!! I LOVE MY PICTURES!!! I want to share that Lisa went out of her way to make our day fantastic, flawless, and unforgettable. I knew from the moment I met her that she loved her job and was very artistic with her photography. The best part, is Lisa herself--an amazing lady with a wonderful personality who makes you feel that everything is going to be perfect. She makes the day about you and your Husband/Wife and does it with tons of fun and laughter--it's like she has been your best friend since kindergarten!!! Not one ounce of regret with my photographer!!!

DJ: Joe Kern is an excellent DJ who is very good at keeping your crowd DANCING! He has a great personality and is awesome at answering any questions or giving suggestions. He has a lot of experience and it SHOWS! Our reception was a BLAST!

Florist: Joanie with Lakeside Floral is the place to go! I loved all my bouquets and boutonnieres. I told her my style, what flowers I liked and I was so AMAZED at the outcome of what she put together! She is FANTASTIC at what she does...beautiful, Absolutely Beautiful!

Hall: The Grand Banquet Hall is GORGEOUS! Great staff to work with...very helpful and very friendly!

Cake: Heather designs the wedding cakes at Bread Art and is very willing to try all ideas you have. The cake was everything I had pictured in my mind--even better! EVERYBODY RAVED OVER HOW WONDERFUL THE CAKE WAS! Also, it was very reasonably priced.

Magnet Street: Weddings: I am biased. My sister Mindi works at MagnetStreet and designed all of my stationery for the wedding--everything from the invitations to the name cards. I was absolutely impressed with how every last detail was designed by MagnetStreet and even included the cute extra touches on all of my ideas for the wedding. I love all the options that Magnet Street offers!!! I also ordered my Thank you cards and Thank you magnets to match the design of the rest of the stationery. I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT MAGNETSTREET!!!

Karl Peltier {DIY Designs}: Karl is so talented when it comes to having an artistic eye. He puts so much thought and creativity into his work. Every one of my ideas turned into a masterpiece when he was done putting it all together! I could not have done it with out him!!! Without him ... it wouldn't have been a SPECTACULAR and MAGICAL DAY!
