Wedding Planning Hot Buttons…

I made a few fairly big changes to the decor in our living room recently but it wasn't until a few days later that my husband even noticed them.  I just sat back and waited.  And waited. Funny ha ha or funny peculiar... I still haven't decided.

But in all fairness, my husband is usually a pretty observant guy, armed with an opinion.  However, it did take me a while to learn~ that he'd rather be included on the more major decisions, rather than the minor ones... {apparently wall art falls under minor.}

In any case, I recall that his "major and minor" involvement made wedding planning a bit frustrating for me.  I found myself wondering... does he even care~ which he did~ just not the way I wanted him to at the time.

Are you experiencing something similar with your FH {or FW}?

Are you discovering new hot buttons at an alarming rate? Do normal everyday nouns like "color" and "guests" and "uplighting" result in the silent treatment or the need for space?

How do you circumvent the hot buttons or negotiate through them?

Talk about it.

And keep talking about it!

Get clever about discovering what will excite your future spouse.  Maybe excitement will come by being the master of playlists...  the bar menu... or the map and direction czar!

And along the way,

you just may discover that you're marrying someone who is simply OK with you making most of the decisions... because~ well, you're loved and you're trusted!
