Behind the Design: Floral Lace

Welcome to Behind the Design--our recurring blog series that puts the spotlight on a new stationery design and the inspiration behind it. We hope that it inspires you to discover new ways to infuse today’s hottest looks into your wedding look. And speaking of today's looks--have you been keeping an eye on the top runway collections from New York Fashion Week, this week? It's been fun. Today's Floral Lace Pocket Invite design is reminiscent of some of the looks for spring that offer that interesting contrast between formality and informality. An irresistible tension!

Here’s Megan to tell us about her design, Floral Lace. "This design was created for a classic wedding with a slightly rustic touch. The modern, organic custom lace keeps the look soft and gentle, while the Kraft paper look of the background, adds the charm. I imagine the couple choosing this design to want a formal wedding--with classic colors and style--but would also want to appeal to their rustic sensibilities, too. Maintaining elegance and sophistication would be accomplished through their flowers and attire, while the venue and details would keep the look feeling charming and inviting. Black and white can easily be dressed up or dressed down, just by changing the style and atmosphere around it. This design could be easily dressed up or down, too. The elegance of the floral lace combined with the rustic feel of the Kraft paper, makes this design a perfect choice for any classic wedding with a rustic spin." What do you think of having contrast in the wedding look?
