Color Monday: Formal Wedding Inspiration

Happy Color Monday! CM is the day we devote to showing just how color can evoke a mood and reveal the wedding style. We're feeling formal this week and thought inspiration for a black tie event the perfect response.

Classy, traditional, sophisticated ... are just some of the descriptors we can use for a formal wedding. It's all about making a statement with this style--but think simple and elegant as opposed to stiff and ceremonial. Imagine for a moment ... a stately venue, perhaps a black tux, ball gown, rose bouquet, music by Louis Armstrong playing at the reception, and a vintage getaway car. Doesn't that sound lovely? Square invitations lend a modern take, while a beautiful script font and delicate flourishes offer a nod to the traditional and your good taste.

What are your best ideas for a formal affair?
