The bride and groom in this real wedding, Amanda and Ben, are after our own hearts with all the exquisite wedding details from their spring soiree in Oshkosh, WI. After meeting through mutual friends and dating for five years, Ben popped the question. And the rest, as they say, is history!
Amanda & Ben's Exquisite Wedding Details
We're so lucky the stars aligned for them, so that we can share all the stunning details of their wedding! They embraced their venue spaces, accenting with a rich color palette and beautiful flowers. They selected sage green, a rich burgundy eggplant, and ivory to complement their breathtaking historical church ceremony venue, creating an exquisite wedding celebration with an intimate feel.
Lots more elements of their celebration resonate with us, too! They kept the look of their invitations (from Truly Engaging by MagnetStreet) elegantly simple and unfussy, combining a modern script font with sans serif customized in their eggplant color. And you simply can't ignore the organic rustic-looking bouquets filled dusty pink roses, eucalyptus leaves, and beautiful lilies. The lace details of Amanda's dress takes our breath away, and the look on Ben's face as Amanda's grandfather walked her up the aisle ... awww! Let's just say we could go on and on about how much we love this wedding. Now bring on the photographs!
"I found my dress at the Bridal Event in Appleton WI with my cousins and Maid of Honor. I almost didn’t try it on, but the attendant encouraged me to give it a try. I fell in love with it the second it was on!"
Foremost Formal Wedding Invitations from Truly Engaging
"Truly Engaging by MagnetStreet was recommended by my maid of honor who had used them for her save the dates. I looked at several other places, but MagnetStreet had the best selection, customization options, and price hands down! We were very happy with how they turned out."
"My something old and blue was a sapphire ring that my Grandma gave me that her mother had given her. My something borrowed was a hair pin from my maid of honor. My something new was the dress."
"We didn’t do a first look because I wanted the first time Ben and I saw each other that day to be when the doors opened and I started walking down the aisle."
"My favorite photo ... it’s a tie between the picture of my Grandpa walking me down the aisle and the sunset picture of Ben and I kissing."
Only one minor hiccup"When we made the save the dates, I entered the wrong date (Saturday instead of Sunday) so when we got them we had to buy some labels to go over with the actual date. We saved some of both versions to laugh about later as a keepsake."
"For our cake, we did an assortment of mini cupcakes from Tamara the Cake Guru."
Their advice to other couples
"There will be little things that 'go wrong," but the best thing to do is to laugh and make it work. In the big picture of the day it won’t matter, and will make for a good story later."
