Color Monday: Formal Military Wedding

Happy Veterans Day--the official day we honor our men and women who have served and are actively serving in our armed forces! Did you know ... that on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice was signed that ended World War I. On November 11th, 1919, the first Armistice Day was celebrated. In 1926, the United States Congress officially recognized the date and declared that the anniversary be "commemorated with thanksgiving and prayer and exercises designed to perpetuate peace through good will and mutual understanding ..." Thank you!
