Real Wedding: Larry & Amy Jean

I'm so delighted to share the real wedding of our good friend Amy Jean, curator of the popular wedding blog Relentless Bride. And, with so many beautiful wedding images, I had a hard time choosing...  Thoughtful, elegant and relaxed, Amy and Larry's spring wedding in sunny California was magical and magnificent. So without further ado...

about their color scheme I always knew I wanted to do the dark gray with the soft yellow (yellow is my fave color). We ended up using navy accents (my husband's fave color) as well, so our Save the Dates, Invitations, bridesmaids shoes etc all had navy. And the lighting for our reception room also incorporated the blue lighting to help tie it all together.

Best wedding day advice you received Your attitude is what resonates at the wedding. If you have fun and take things with ease, your guests will also have fun.... i.e., don't stress, have fun and really cherish the moments!

Wedding day advice you wished you’d taken Don't over-sweat every small detail. I spent time burning a music cd for the shuttle, which one shuttle played one song on repeat for the 30 min ride NON stop. The slide-show didn't work as I had planned. I mapped out details of how the bars would be laid out, in anticipation of drink lines but the last minute rain changed these small details. The day of our wedding, I didn't care at all but in hindsight, I realized all that time spent on the days prior to the wedding could have been spent catching up on sleep :)

Celebrating a Korean wedding tradition: The Paebaek whereby the groom's family accepts the bride into their home~ as the bride would typically come to live with them after the wedding.

Best part of the day There were too many small little moments that made it an amazing day, let alone weekend. We really took every moment to try to remember the feelings, emotions and excitement of that day! I think saying our vows was the peak of that day though ... everything disappeared around us as we exchanged our vows and rings! It was so romantic. When we were finally done, to know that our closest family and friends were there to witness our promise, only made the promise that much more meaningful.

Best part of being married Knowing that we're in "this" (life) together. The good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful. We try to take the attitudes we had with our wedding to a daily mantra... we can plan to the best of our abilities, but life happens and we just have to roll with the punches but now, we're together - so we have each other to remind ourselves daily of how blessed we are.

For their invitations, they personalized Antique Border~ the Layered Invite with Carrier Card from MagnetStreet Weddings. You can see the entire invitation suite in all the sizes and accessories here.

Below is the inspiration board that Amy Jean put together for the color scheme. Isn't it gorg?
