Destination Wedding: Nassau Bahamas

Beautiful couple. An amazing destination. I am so excited to share Brynnen and Dave's Invitations with you today! They did such a FAB job of re-designing the original Indian Style invite to reflect their colors, theme, info and style PLUS get their guests excited for their beach wedding... IN THE BAHAMAS!

In Brynnen's words...

When we decided on a destination wedding in Nassau, Bahamas, I felt like I could really have fun with the colors and design of our invitation. Our wedding and reception are set under a really amazing beach-side gazebo overlooking the ocean. The gazebo is an ocean-blue mixed with crisp whites and is the inspiration for the colors of our wedding.

Our Wedding Colors...

Our wedding colors are pulled from the setting on the beach. We are staying pretty simple with a few hues of blue and fresh whites. The yellow we used on the invitation just made us think of sunshine! Since Dave and I are from Chicago and most of our guests will be coming from the gray November cold of the Midwest, we wanted to give our guests a reminder of the sun and ocean waiting for them.

On choosing this Invitation Design...

We didn't want to do true beach-themed invitations but wanted  a Caribbean feel while still staying pretty classic. We had used Magnet Street for our Save The Dates and knew how much you can do with the Magnet Street personalization tool. When I saw the Indian-themed invitations, I loved the paisley, but wanted to see if I could make those purple and greens into something fit for a beach-side wedding. When I started to edit the paisley print, we couldn't believe how changing the colors completely changed the whole look and feel of the invitation! The Enclosure Cards: Since we had a lot of information, we wanted to communicate with our guests, we used the front and back of our enclosure cards. Thankfully, MS was able to match the front and back of our invites in the same color so they really flowed. With the Enclosure Cards, we were able to give people important information and we had room to let them know... the avg. Nov temp, the Bahamas, currency and important travel information. We are so happy with how they turned out! They fit us perfectly.

I felt like I was able to really make the invitation my own. I had so much fun doing it!
